Kilt Size Chart & Measuring Guide

Use this guide to choose the right kilt size before you order. A well-fitted kilt sits at the natural waist and falls to the mid-knee. Measure carefully and compare with the chart below.

How to measure for a kilt

  1. Waist — Measure around your natural waist (usually at or just above the navel), where the kilt will sit. Keep the tape snug, not tight.
  2. Length — From the natural waist down to the middle of the knee, standing straight.
  3. Hips (optional) — Widest point around the hips if you are between sizes or prefer a roomier fit.

Fit tips

  • Order the waist size closest to your measured waist. If you are between sizes, size up for comfort.
  • Utility and hybrid kilts may feel different from traditional wool kilts — check the product page for notes.
  • Made-to-measure options (where offered) use your exact waist and length.
